“I would 100% recommend the online Pilots Skills Assessment and Flight School Wingman team for anyone considering a career in aviation.

It not only taught me that I have the knowledge, skills and attitudes, but focusing on the journey rather than the destination – knowledge gained and learning from mistakes and how you can take this onto future life and tasks. I gained a deeper knowledge and challenges facing the aviation industry, especially today. During the Skype interview I had the pleasure of speaking to Flight School Wingman’s Andrew and Matt, who shared their experiences and knowledge. Their energy and commitment shone through, and I’m proud of the work they’re doing to help aspiring pilots.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the result of this assessment be passed on to any flight schools?

No. Your results and performance on the Airline Pilot Skills Assessment Course are not passed on to any third parties. The aim of the course is to evidence which are your stronger areas and also where you need to improve. This way, when you go to your real selection board, you have the opportunity to really shine!

Although we don’t place any minimum age requirement on attending the Skills Assessment, we recommend that you only attend if you are at, or approaching the minimum age to apply to start flying training. As a guide, 17 years of age is the minimum we would suggest. If you’re coming to flying as a second career, then attending a course will still be a big advantage in assessing your suitability for the role of commercial pilot.

Absolutely not. Flight School Wingman remembers exactly what it was like to be in your shoes! We have all been through a similar process and are there to support and guide you in the usual friendly Wingman way! 🙂
